Depression & Anxiety
Anxiety and depression are normal human emotions. It is when these become disproportionate and overwhelm us that life becomes debilitating. My intention is to support you develop inner resilience to manage these powerful emotions. Having worked with a number of clients around depression, anxiety and panic attacks I see to allowing space for you to explore the issues. We may look at:
Mindfulness: We focus on your feelings and look at how you can manage these, whilst recognising unhelpful thought patterns that make you feel worse. The intention would be to explore ways to self manage situations better.
Context: We would be curious about triggers that lead to these feelings, as well as the historical context and traumatic events that may have played a role. Holding a greater awareness around these life experiences would potentially provide understanding and clarity, allowing you to choose supportive behavioural patterns.
Causes of depression and anxiety can be deep rooted and these sessions can offer you the first steps of dealing with them.
