Counselling
“Courage doesn’t happen when you have all the answers. It happens when you are ready to face the questions you have been avoiding your whole life.”
- Shannon L. Alder Counselling provides a safe space to explore the issues and challenges you currently face. This may range from internal struggles with self-confidence, anxiety, depression and anger to relational issues with conflict and abuse. Alternatively you may seek to explore deeper existential issues around meaning and how to live a purposeful life. Through a series of non–judgemental and empathetic meetings we seek to develop your inner strength and tap into your potential seeking outcomes and solutions that nurture and support you. Short Term Focused Therapy Short term work focuses on specific issue you choose to bring. Often clarifying the issue at hand can in itself can bring relief. We explore what would be a "good" outcome for you. Holding this as a reference and the context for our work we seek ways around how you can support yourself and move forward. Longer Term Therapy Longer term therapy may be required when deeper issues and trauma need to be worked through. Integrating wounded parts of ourselves can take time and this is where long term therapy can be supportive. Therapeutic Approach Psychosynthesis is a holistic approach that acknowledges both the personal and transpersonal. It includes our mind, feelings and respects the wisdom in our bodies. It chooses not to instruct but acknowledges client's latent potential in finding solutions within themselves for the issues they face. It is inclusive and allows for creative methods like visualisations, drawing and music if appropriate to uncover hidden material whilst exploring ways that allow you to find some peace with the issues that challenge you. £60.00 per individual session.
